About Magnolia Behavioral Health, PLLC

Jessika Brasseaux

APRN, PMHNP-BC

An accurate diagnosis is the first step. However, symptoms may vary widely from person to person. This is why I strive to understand you as a whole, unique person and will work with you to develop tailored strategies toward your goals in treatment and life. I specialize in working with adults living with ADHD, anxiety, depression and PTSD. I also have experience in treating substance abuse and dual diagnosis disorders.

Drawing on my training as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and 9 years experience in medication management and behavioral intervention planning, I currently offer medication management. For optimal treatment results with medication management, I encourage simultaneous engagement in therapy (with an outside provider).

My goal is to provide a safe space and build a trusting partnership with clients. I strive to become attuned to each client's lived experience and personal goals, so as to understand them as an individual. To ensure that my services may be the right fit for your needs, I do offer 15-minute free initial phone consultations.

Education & Background

Jessika Brasseaux is a Board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She obtained an MSN in 2015 from Yale School of Nursing, and subsequently joined Yale-New Haven Hospital’s (YNHH) Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT)—a first of its kind, proactive psychiatric consult-liaison model. She assisted in creating the Behavioral Emergency Support Team, a patient-centered response to acute behavioral crises. Jessika was a primary architect of a multi-agency community partnership for rapid recognition, induction and referral to treatment for patients struggling with opioid use disorder and a charter member of the YNHH BIT’s psycho-oncology pilot. Jessika founded Magnolia Behavioral Health, PLLC in 2020, where she strives to improve clients’ overall quality of life by providing evidence-based treatment through a patient-centered, whole-person approach to mental health care.
